About Parallel Parking Simulator
In short: Parallel Parking Simulator is a free 3D practice tool for one skill, parallel parking. It runs in your browser, needs no account, and coaches you one step at a time through 10 levels that match the situations you meet on real streets and in road tests.
What is Parallel Parking Simulator?
It is a browser simulator plus a set of written guides. You drive a car with a realistic turning circle, use working side mirrors and a reversing camera, and get one instruction at a time from the coach. Levels cover a car in front only, a gap between two cars, road-test cones, a hill, the left side of a one-way street, an SUV, tight spaces and pulling out.
How are the coach's instructions checked?
Every level is driven automatically the way the coach describes, with human-sized mistakes: stopping 30 cm early or late, starting 20 cm too close or too far out, and swinging anywhere from 40° to 50°. A level is only shipped if following the visible cues parks the car without touching anything and within the curb limit in most of those runs.
The coach only uses reference points you can actually see from the driver's seat — the other car's B-pillar, your mirrors, the curb — because wheels and bumpers beside you sit below your door line.
Where do the distances come from?
The pass rules follow published driver handbooks rather than guesswork:
“Your vehicle should now be parallel and within 18 inches of the curb.”
California Driver’s Handbook, California DMV
“In your final parking position, your wheels must be no more than one foot (30 cm) from the curb.”
Driver’s Manual, Chapter 7: Parallel Parking, New York State DMV
The simulator passes you within 18 inches (45 cm) and marks 12 inches (30 cm) or less as neat. Rules differ by state and country, so check your own handbook before a test.
Can a simulator replace real practice?
No. It is a safe place to learn the sequence and the reference points and to repeat mistakes for free. You still need practice in a real car with a qualified instructor or supervising driver, including real mirror and blind-spot checks.
